Trade & Investment News

Lesotho is a stable country with a very young democracy that needs nurturing at each and every stage. Lesotho as a country, is working towards achieving the MDGs and its Vision 2020 strategy as a way to fight poverty and to increase foreign direct investment. Through our trade desk in London, we are committed to assisting all parties that are interested in investing in Lesotho to do so with ease and at a minimal time one can imagine.

Fully committed to a free enterprise economy, the Government of Lesotho has mounted as agressive campaign to attract foreign investment coupled with extensive programme of guiding local entrepreneurs in establishing their own business. As a result, many industries have been established not only to serve the local market, but also to tap export opportunities.

Tourism News

The Mountain Kingdom, which is sometimes reffered to as the "Switzerland of Africa" is indeed, Africa's best kept secret. With its mountainous terrain, beautiful waterfalls, old bushmen paintings, rich and diverse culture and warm hospitality that Basotho are famous for, it is no suprise that Lesotho is looking forward to being a major player in the tourism industry in our region within a foreseable futire.

The rugged ravines, rough terrain and splashing streams of clear crystal waters put Lesotho uniquely on the map. This country is famous for its historic monuments and out-doors adventures. The friendly smiles and waves from the local people signify a true welcome to a tourist. Lesotho is surrounded by South Africa and can easily be reached by road and air through the Moshoeshoe I International Airport. The Airport offers three daily flights from Johanessburg that in turn link with major international destinations.
